| NEROLI BIGARADE OIL (100% Pure)- AKA bitter Orange Blossom. LATIN NAME: Citrus aurantium amara. SOURCE: Hydro distilled from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. COLOUR: Clear pale yellow. ORIGIN: Tunisia AROMA: exquisite light floral, slight nutty under tone, characteristic of the fresh flowers QUALITIES: Antidepressant. calming and soothing during times of stress , helps restore sleep. Ideal for skin care, especially mature/dry types. Used as an ingredient in eau de cologne and perfume: An ingredient in one of our luxury creams. We also have a hydrolat ( floral water) of neroli which is wonderful as a skin toner and conditioner. One kilo of blossoms yields about 1 ml of oil. Not to be mistaken for the cheaper orange blossom oil which does not have the nutty flavour. A member of the Rutaceae family, an evergreen tree up to ten metres high, with glossy dark green oval leaves. It has white fragrant flowers. Most Neroli on the market now is being adulterated by adding limonene and linalool. Limonene is usually between 10 to 19% Linalool is usually between 31 to 41% Nerolidol is usually between 1.4 to 5.6% Linalool Natural sells at USD 30-00 kilo, Limonene Natural at USD 2-50 kilo, Alpha Pinene at pennies. Put them all together and you got a very profitable situation.
